Welcome to DiscGolfPark Bad Sobernheim!
We're excited that you've discovered DiscGolfPark Bad Sobernheim! This course is entirely free to play, and you can borrow disc golf discs for free from the SportBox that's in the same park as the course (just know you need a smartphone to open it). The SportBox is in the spot where the red star is in the map below.
Disc Golf is a quickly growing sport, with rules very much like those of traditional golf. Instead of hitting a ball, you throw a disc similar to a Frisbee. Instead of holes, your goal is to get your disc in specially-designed baskets (see photos below). Like in golf, you start at a tee. After everyone in your group has thrown, the person farthest from the basket throws their next shot from the place their disc came to rest. Once everyone has their discs in the basket, the hole is complete.
You score by counting how many throws each person took to get into the basket and totaling them up throughout the round. The goal is to use the lowest number of throws possible to reach the basket.
You can easily keep score with the free version of the UDisc app, which is what we recommend. It also shows a map as you play that helps you find each tee and basket as well as play everything as intended.
The map for DiscGolfPark Bad Sobernheim is above. It shows the tees and basket positions for this nine-hole course. The amateur or "Am" tees (yellow) are perfect for beginners, kids, seniors, and ace-hunters. The Pro tees are for experienced disc golfers or anyone looking for a challenging disc golf experience.

Due to high levels of foot traffic in this park from people visiting Bad Sobernheim's extremely popular Barefoot Path, this course is only available from the beginning of October until the end of April. In the warmer months, it will become a MiniDiscGolfPark with holes no longer than 20 meters that will be like mini-golf/putt putt but for disc golf. The bigger course may be set up occasionally during the summer for special events.
There are disc golf courses in over 70 countries und Germany has almost 200. DiscGolfPark Bad Sobernheim is the first course in the Bad Kreuznach district and the only public course within a 50 kilometer radius. It wouldn't have been possible without the support of the LAG Soonwald-Nahe, City of Bad Sobernheim, Nahe-Glan Municipality, Turnverein 1867 Bad Sobernheim und TPF Discs.
